The Japan Mixed Volleyball Association (JMVA) strives to popularize and develop mixed volleyball with the aim of promoting sports exchange beyond gender, age, and nationality.
The purpose of this tournament, the 1st 3&3 Mixed Volleyball Asia-Pacific Tournament, is to deepen cultural and competitive exchanges with our friends in the Asia-Pacific region and foster international ties.
〇Objectives of the Tournament
1. Promotion of international exchange: To bring together teams from countries and regions throughout the Asia-Pacific regions to promote cultural exchange and friendship through sport.
2.Popularization of Mixed Volleyball: Spreading the appeal and potential of this engaging sport, aiming for its proliferation in participating countries and regions while promoting gender equality and respect for diversity.
3. Improving the skills of referees: To support the acquisition of international rules and the latest techniques, and to improve the skills of referees through tournament experience.
4. Promotion of fair competition: To encourage high sportsmanship and fair competition among all participants, and to remind them of the importance of a fair playing environment.
5. Impact on activities after returning home: To use the experience gained from the tournament to improve the quality of volleyball and promote social contribution in each country and regions.
This tournament is not just about conducting matches; it aims to provide all participants with opportunities to learn and grow, contributing to the development of sports in their respective countries and regions.

〇Eligibility
Teams operating in Asia or Pacific Rim countries or regions.
Teams with at least 3 males and 3 females and 7 or more members.
Accommodation and transportation must be arranged independently by each team.

Please appoint a chief referee and an assistant referee. Basically, please appoint the same chief referee and assistant referee for each match.

•Japan Representative: Teams recommended by regional associations
•Okinawa Representative: Teams recommended by the Okinawa regional association
•International Invited Teams: Teams recommended by the tournament headquarters
•Domestic Invitational Teams: Teams recommended by the tournament headquarters
〇Team Levels
•Championship: Japanese teams must qualify at a national selection level. No level restrictions for international teams.
•Open Tournament: No level restrictions.
•Total 220 Tournament: The total age on the court must be 220 years or older.

FIVB rules (jump serve and back attack prohibited)
Matches are one-set matches; six matches per day are expected.
Rotation alternating between men and women
Four libero players can be registered (2 men and 2 women each)

Q. Can I get a participation certificate for those who want it for visa and subsidy purposes? A. Yes, we can.
Q. Can I arrange accommodation? A. If you need accommodation, please contact the headquarters by the end of October 2025. Basically, each team will be responsible for arranging accommodation.
Q. How do I get from the airport to the venue? A. Please use a bus or taxi from Naha Airport. Please contact us if necessary. Basically, each team is responsible for arranging transportation between the airport, hotel, and venue.
Q. Do I need a visa? A. It depends on the country. We can issue an invitation letter (PDF), so please contact us if necessary.
Q. Is insurance required? A. It is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend that you subscribe for safety.
Q. Who will be the referees? A. Each team should appoint one referee and one assistant referee. Please use the same person for each match.
Q. What about lunch during the tournament? A. Please prepare your own lunch or purchase it from the food truck.
Q. Are there any restrictions on uniforms? Please wear a matching set of uniforms with numbers on the front and back. (Each team can wear up to two different uniforms.)
Q. The average temperature in Okinawa in February is 15-20°C. It is warm during the day, but can be cold in the mornings and evenings.
